Food – a vital part of the solution!

Food can play a key role in dealing with some of today’s most pressing issues. From obesity and diet-related ill-health to tackling the causes of climate change and global inequality, food is at the heart of our greatest problems and a vital part of their solution.

Communities Living Sustainably has laid the foundations of a new network to take action for the Future of Food in and around Bridport and Dorchester. By working together public agencies, businesses and communities can make healthy and sustainable food a defining characteristic of where we live.

Six key aims:

1  Promoting healthy and sustainable food to the public

2  Making it easier to buy affordable healthy food

3  Building community food knowledge, skills and resources

4  Promoting a lively and varied sustainable food economy

5  Influencing caterers and how public money is spent on food

6  Reducing waste and the ecological footprint of the food system

If you eat, you’re in! People like YOU are part of the solution!
Meet and join forces with others who are passionate about food. Pool skills, knowledge and resources to make choosing healthy, sustainable food the easy option!
